Morandi Slope

Location: Belmont, California

Perched on the iconic slopes of the Peninsula, this project transcends the technical challenges of hillside landscape design. Our approach addresses the fundamental questions of a sloped site: how to manage water runoff while ensuring a seamless, beautiful journey home.

Designed to complement the building’s modern facade, the landscape integrates functional pathways—including stroller-friendly entries and rear-yard access—with sculptural elegance. The plant palette was curated for both slope consolidation and aesthetic harmony, echoing the surrounding architecture. By softening linear paths and framing views, we have created a "Morandi-style" sanctuary that reflects our vision of modern luxury.
